Why fit a Firestone EPDM Roof

EPDM roofing systems are not all the same although they may all be made of similar raw materials, Firestone was one of the first companies into this market launching their epdm membranes in 1980, built on their technical expertise in the tyre industry the product has been further developed and now dominates the world market for flat roofing.

One major advantage of fitting a Firestone membrane is that most flat roofs can be covered in one sheet avoiding the need for joints, many other manufacturers products have to be fitted in strips which means that there is a greater possibility of leaks.

The first epdm roofs were installed over 50 years ago in the USA, millions of square metres of the material have been installed successfully in countries with extremes climates such as Alaska or Mexico, the roofing has remained weather resistant.
